“Students and campus life are my passion. I didn’t figure this out until my 3rd year in a journalism program and I didn’t figure it out alone. I had a mentor who showed me what Student Affairs was and how I could use my talents in a fulfilling field every day. I didn’t know it, but I had been working in Student Affairs and Student Activities for my entire college career.

My experience ranges from student politics as LGBTQ Issues Director and Vice President of my school’s Student Association to campus activities and programming as a program coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Union Programming department. I even write a column for our school newspaper that you can read by following the link above.

It’s one of my goals to be a mentor to future generations and to lead them down a path of success. To achieve these goals, I plan on finishing that journalism degree and pursuing a graduate assistantship in Residence Life for next fall. With that milestone quickly approaching, I plan on sharing my experiences with the Student Affairs community in hopes that present and future Student Affairs professionals can benefit from what I’ve learned along the way.”
