Amp up your Grades with THE FAN!

Making Learning Fun is the name of my game!

Use your body/brain with Brain Gym exercises to amp up the power of your learning tasks! One really great suggestion is to study for short intervals with a power break in between. Since we are a body/brain, it’s important to get the body in the game. It’s a fact that “If the body don’t move, the mind don’t groove!” Try a fun and challenging Brain Gym exercise like the one in the video clip to help stimulate the body/brain and get up off your can-can-can!

And if you can do it – send me a video of YOU and your friends doing this exercise!

Comments

  1. Millicent, If I were able to master this move to improve my concentration, when should I do it? and for how long? and how often? It looks like it would energize me.

  2. Good question Rick! I want to say that the best time to do the Fan is anytime, but I know that in the middle of a professor’s lecture would NOT be the best time to do The Fan, except if he/she were leading it. Otherwise, your professor might raise their eyebrow at your strange antics and god knows what else.

The beauty of this move and all of the Brain Gym exercises is that it offers flexibility. If at home, you could do it before you start to study. Or, if during your study time, you notice that your mind starts to take a mini-vacation, then it’s time to get up, get some water and take a little Brain Gym break with the Fan. This exercise energizes the body, like kicking into the next gear.

If you were in a study group, you could lead the group with a challenge to do this exercise and it would bust up any monotonous study habits for sure. Your friends will love your playful spirit and you will be a hit because you turned them on to something different and cool. Show them the video and throw down the challenge! And above all else, remember Rule #1 – Have Fun!
